The company was founded in Köngen in 1960 by Ernst, Gerhard and Karl Weigele. They started out by manufacturing laboratory equipment and supplying hydraulic components. EWS has become a medium-sized family-owned company that is globally active and focuses on the development, production and sale of high-precision tool holders for lathes and milling machines, tool transport systems and accessories.
