As the interface between the measuring system and the workpiece, the stylus is the key element in coordinate measurement. To perform its task, it must meet the highest quality requirements.

When the stylus tip contacts the workpiece, the probing sensor determines the geometric position of the contact point in the X, Y, and Z axes and relays this back to the control unit and CMM software.
